Poem 25: I think this poem is about two friends separated for a long time. The tone of this poem makes me feel kind sad. The theme is about when Dickinson finds her good friend after a long time. When she gets closed to her, she couldn’t be recognized immediately by her because as time goes by, Dickinson became different from before. But she recognized Dickinson’s foot immediately because there are some special mark on her foot or the sound of the foot. I think Dickinson may try to explain time change a lot things but there are still something will never get changed as time fly.
Poem 27: This poem shows how Dickinson loves sun. Because at morn, she can’t see sun; she can see sun at the noon. At the beginning of sun’s rise, the light, location and size of sun always change. Later it will be firmer. Dickinson worries that the sun will leave her for the transport later as she said “She- was mute from transport- I from agony-” She regard the sun as linnet and when the evening gets closed, the linnet flew away. The tone of this poem is also kind sad because she can’t keep the sun forever.
